6 Trends From the SATC Reboot That Are About to Explode
And just like that, I’m wearing two handbags.
If you haven’t seen the Sex and the City reboot …And Just Like That yet, where have you been?
Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have reprised their roles as Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte in the 10-episode series, which finally arrived on our screens this week.

A big missing piece of the puzzle however is Kim Cattrall, who turned down the opportunity to return as Samantha amid rumours of a feud between her and SJP.
It’s hard not to miss Samantha’s quips, killer power outfits and hilarious dating storylines, but the producers kept us distracted with a pretty heartbreaking twist at the end of episode one.
If you haven’t seen the first episodes of …And Just Like That yet, don’t worry, I won’t give you any spoilers… unless we’re talking about the fashion.
The original series broke many boundaries when it first aired back in 1998, but perhaps its biggest legacy is to fashion.
Costume designer and stylist Patricia Field changed how women dressed through her time on SATC, popularising pieces including (but certainly not limited to) the name necklace, tutu skirt and Fendi baguette.
Field has since moved on to become the Costume Designer for Netflix’s Emily in Paris, meaning she was unavailable to work her magic on the new season. Instead, she passed the baton onto Molly Rogers, who she worked alongside on the original show.
As expected, Rogers hasn’t left us disappointed. Just two episodes in and I’m already rearranging my wardrobe to dig out my flower corsages, name necklace and Manolo Blahnik dupes (who am I kidding!).
SATC always made an instant impact on fashion trends, so it comes as no surprise that searches for certain pieces have been skyrocketing since the announcement of the new season was made.
So which trends should you actually look out for? Here are six I predict will get big very soon and where to buy them now.
