Mango is known for their chic pieces, which is why they’re one of the biggest retailers on the high street. If you’ve been waiting for a sale to get your hands on something, November is the month to buy it. Black Friday sees almost all big brands offering huge discounts across all lines, meaning you can stock up on winter essentials but also buy your loved ones gifts at more affordable prices.
Black Friday can be overwhelming though. I know when I have too much choice, I don’t know where to start so there are a few ways to be prepared and avoid buying more than you need or want. What is Black Friday?
Black Friday is an annual shopping event, often called the biggest shopping day of the year. It’s held roughly a month before Christmas and offers shoppers the opportunity to buy their loved ones gifts with huge discounts. Almost every industry gets involved, including fashion, beauty, homeware and tech by offering blanket discounts on many items.
Cyber Monday is then held the following week and this is when all the discounts are held exclusively online. Black Friday offers are always online too though, so it’s just a continuation of the offers. Once Monday draws to a close, so do the discounts so you only have a few days to make the most of the discounts.
When is Black Friday?
Black Friday happens on the last Friday of November, which is November 24th in 2023. Cyber Monday then comes the following Monday (November 27th), where the discounts are predominantly online. Despite Black Friday’s reputation as the biggest shopping day of the year, you’ll often find the top deals on Cyber Monday.
Is Mango taking part?
Yes. Mango has kicked off their Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale early, with up to 50% off over 1,000 items right now. We’re expecting the sale to last all week.
In previous years, Mango has dropped discounts of 30% and last year they offered up to 50% off on over 1,000 items in stores and online during Black Friday.
The offers are always subject to change so I recommend signing up to Mango’s newsletter to stay up-to-date. Mango sometimes drop promo codes to newsletter subscribers throughout the year, so it’s worth signing up!
Does Mango take part in Cyber Monday?
It definitely looks like they will according to their dedicated Black Friday page. Mango writes: ‘Do you want even more discounts? Are you looking for the best buy? Discover the second part of Black Friday: Cyber Monday.’
Cyber Monday offers all discounts exclusively online, so if you can’t be bothered to head out to the shops on the Friday, you can add the pieces you want to your virtual shopping bag instead. You can make the most of Mango’s free shipping over £30 too (available today and every day).
How long will the sale last?
We’re expecting the sale to end at 11.59pm on Cyber Monday. This is usually when the shopping day comes to an end.
Our top tips for shopping Mango’s Black Friday sale
To avoid panic buying on Black Friday, I first and foremost recommend making a wish list of the pieces you need, want or would make great Christmas presents for friends and family. This way, you’re laser-focused and much less likely to go AWOL and buy something you don’t need on the day.
If you’re not sure what to buy a loved one, ask ahead and create a list of presents your friends and family members have asked for to avoid buying them something they don’t actually want. I know, I know – it’s hard to be that organised in reality, but it’ll definitely make your life easier!
