H&M Black Friday Cyber Monday Sale 2024 Date Expected Discounts
Get ready early.
Black Friday is the biggest shopping date of the year, and if you love affordable fashion and homeware, you’ll be just as excited as I am about H&M’s upcoming sale. The annual Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale from the super brand, which sells internationally, is just weeks away, so let’s get into the details ahead of time.
In case you didn’t know, Black Friday is an annual shopping event which takes place on the last Friday in November every year. Cyber Monday comes the Monday after, and takes place exclusively online. Almost all high street brands take part, offering discounts ahead of Christmas to make buying presents a little easier on the bank balance.
That said, it’s often questioned whether Black Friday actually saves shoppers much money. Brands often increase their prices ahead of Black Friday, then offer discounts on the higher price. Last year the I newspaper monitored products between October 1st and November 15th, and found that 31% of products in over 6,100 shops increased in price and 17% increased by 10% or more.
So is it really worth spending on Black Friday? Hopefully after getting all the vital details, you can decide for yourself. So keep scrolling for what you need to know, and next read more about the Black Friday sales at Zara, ASOS, COS and M&S.

What is Black Friday?
Black Friday is an annual event that kicks off the Christmas shopping season and roughly takes place four weeks before Christmas. It sees countless brands across almost all industries offering huge discounts in the run-up to the festive period, from tech to beauty and of course, fashion.
Black Friday has become the biggest shopping day of the year in recent years, but it’s now joined by Cyber Monday. As the name suggests, this is when all the offers are held exclusively online, allowing shoppers to avoid the queues and spend money from home. It often sees the discounts get even bigger and better before all the prices return to normal at 23.59.
When is Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2024?
Black Friday takes place on the last Friday in November and the day after Thanksgiving in the US. In 2024, it lands on November 29th. Cyber Monday then happens the Monday after, which is December 2nd, 2024.
But in recent years, many brands have started their BFCM sales earlier and earlier. You can expect to see discounts offered throughout the whole of Black Friday week, not just on the day itself.
What savings can I get in H&M’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale?
We’re expecting the discounts to increase as the weekend goes on, but based on last year’s offerings, you can expect around 20% off everything during Black Friday itself. H&M also offered 30% off partywear during Black Friday in the past years, and it rose for members only on Cyber Monday when select lines were discounted by up to 70%. We’re expecting similar discounts this year, and if you haven’t yet become an H&M member, read more about the membership. It could be worth signing up!
How much is H&M delivery during Black Friday?
H&M offers a number of different delivery options, and this varies depending on whether you have an H&M membership or not.
- Standard delivery: £3.99.
- Next day delivery: £5.99.
- Click Collect: £3.99
- Member cost: Spend £20 or more for free delivery.
Are H&M returns free?
H&M confused customers by announcing that everyone would need to pay for returns recently, but this isn’t strictly the case. If you’re a member, you can still access free returns. However non-members will need to pay a return fee. This can easily be avoided, as the H&M membership is completely free! Read more about H&M returns.
Our top tips for shopping H&M’s sale
If you want to make the most of the sale, I recommend making a wish list ahead of time so you’re less tempted to overspend during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This will help you narrow down the pieces that you really want, need or are planning to buy your loved ones at Christmas.
If you want to make sure you know exactly when and where the sale is happening, sign up to the H&M newsletter (as well as ours, in which we’ll be sharing Black Friday deals throughout the weekend) and sign up to the H&M membership to reap the benefits during the sale.
What to shop in H&M’s Black Friday sale
If you’re wondering what’s best to buy in the sale, I recommend buying from H&M’s premium collection. The collection offers pieces made from premium fabrics, like mohair, satin, merino wool, silk, cashmere, leather and wool. These pieces are designed to last and to transcend trends, so they’re worth spending more on.
Look for wardrobe staples too like jeans, coats and boots that you know you’ll get plenty of wear out of. Avoid buying throwaway items like party dresses or accessories that may not last very long or will go out of style a little too soon. You’ll end up spending more money in the long run replacing them.
What is H&M’s next designer collaboration?
H&M isn’t playing it safe this time! They’ve ditched the usual big-name collab and surprised everyone by teaming up with rising star Rokh. It’s a fresh take on their designer partnerships, and could signal a shift towards spotlighting new talent.
Cheap Luxury Handbags opinion
As consumers are becoming savvier to the impact of overconsumption on our environment and the individuals working to produce garments, many brands have decided to boycott Black Friday this year.
We’re expecting this to include brands Monki, Next and Arket, all of which opted out of Black Friday in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
While we don’t condone overspending, we do want fashion to be accessible to those on a low budget, as well as those who struggle to shop sustainably due to size constraints.
We love fashion and the freedom of self-expression it brings and understand you’re going to want to shop the sales.
We encourage you to be mindful of your spending and avoid buying items you’re probably going to discard of in a year’s time.
