Don’t get tricked into overspending this Black Friday.
Itโs no secret that Black Friday is one of the biggest sale events of the year.

Some brands are known to offer discounts โ but then thereโs reports of brands raising their prices before the sales start, meaning you could be being tricked into thinking youโre getting a better deal than you are.
So are things really cheaper on Black Friday? Here, we answer the common question once and for all.
I was curious to see if waiting for the shopping holiday is worth it, and hereโs what I found.
Are things really cheaper on Black Friday?
Itโs hard to give a definitive answer to this question โ but only because I found different ones. While some brands do put their items on sale during the holiday, there are sadly those that are deceiving.
In a report about last yearโs shopping event, the BBC found that โmost Black Friday products were the same price or cheaper beforehand.โ They also warned to be cautious of deals that look too good to be true because these may very well be.
But again, not all brands are deceitful. You may need to do research on your favourite brands and make sure you have the things youโre eyeing on wishlists to see whether or not their prices will go down come Black Friday.ย
The best way to do this is to be organised about your Black Friday shopping. Start noting down the pieces youโve got your eye on and how much they cost right now.
This way, you wonโt find yourself getting overwhelmed and spending more than you should when the sales come โ but youโll also put yourself in a better position to prevent being tricked into buying items that arenโt even discounted.

Is Black Friday or Cyber Monday better for getting good deals?
If youโve been thinking twice about participating in Black Friday sales, you may want to consider waiting for Cyber Monday itself. Thatโs the Monday after Black Friday, when online sales explode.
The shopping event is reportedly better than Black Friday in terms of scoring items you want to get as gifts. If youโre looking for big-ticket items at bargain prices though, itโs still best to do your shopping on Black Friday.
So it really depends on what you need to shop for and where youโre shopping.
