What is the H&M Designer Collaboration For 2024? Rokh x H&M is Coming
When one door closes…
Wondering who H&M is teaming up with on their next designer collaboration in 2024? I’m sharing everything you need to know about the high street giant’s next collab, right here. H&M has teamed up with so many incredible designers over the years including Maison Margiela, Moschino, Erdem, Sonia Rykiel, Simone Rocha and more recently, Mugler and Rabanne.
The latter collabs happened in 2023, when H&M treated us to not one, but two designer collections. Like many of H&M’s special lines, they both sold out almost instantly, proving that the appetite for the high street brand’s luxury collaborations is still very much there. H&M collaborates with a designer nearly every year, and like you, I’ve been eagerly awaiting to see what the high street brand have up their sleeves next.
Last year, there were reported rumours that H&M would be collaborating with Givenchy on a collaborative collection, but according to Vogue, Givenchy has denied this. We’re also yet to see a collaboration with Dior, Prada, Chanel, Gucci, Burberry, Fendi, Saint Laurent and Balenciaga. We’re praying for a Balenciaga collection in the future, but we’ll have to wait and see if it’s on the cards.

It’s not just designers they collaborate with either. H&M previously teamed up with the late style icon Iris Apfel on a collection of dresses, co-ords, jewellery, shoes and more fabulous pieces. Like many exclusive collections H&M creates, it sold out almost instantly. Then there’s H&M’s Conscious and Innovation Story collections, which prove popular too. And this month, H&M dropped its Studio collection for SS24.

What is the next H&M designer collaboration for 2024?
H&M’s next designer collaboration is with emerging designer Rokh on a new collection of womenswear, menswear and accessories. Fans of Rokh will recognise many of the designer’s signature styles, including their double-layer trench coats, corset-style pieces and detachable-hem dresses.
Speaking of the collection, creative advisor and head of design womenswear at H&M Ann-Sofie Johansson said in a press release,“Rokh is at the forefront of a new wave of Korean designers whose conceptual-yet-wearable clothes are captivating fashion right now. We’re proud to present a curated edit of designer Rok Hwang’s adaptable wardrobe classics, and we can’t wait to see how our customers wear them.”

When will Rokh x H&M be released?
You can shop the Rokh x H&M collaboration from 18th April, 2024. The collection will be available to shop online and in select stores.
When are H&M’s designer collaborations released?
When H&M’s designer collaborations first started in 2005, they happened annually. Now H&M are doing more and more collaborations; in 2021, they teamed up with Brock Collection, LemLem and Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
The most notable collaboration of 2021 was of course Simone Rocha, but in 2022 they opted to work on their own-brand collections with Studio and Innovation Stories, as well as the hotly-anticipated collaboration with Iris Apfel, who sadly passed away in March 2024.
H&M’s next collabs came in spring 2023 followed by autumn 2023, so they don’t really follow a specific pattern.
Why does H&M collaborate with designers?
The collections aim to bring both brands to a wider audience. It’s a great way for designer brands to get introduced to those who love the high street, and it’s also great for those who love designer labels to add something new to their collections at a much more affordable price point.
Who was the first designer to collaborate with H&M?
Karl Lagerfeld was the first designer to take a chance on a high street collaboration with H&M back in 2004. He created a capsule collection of womenswear and menswear, which included a white T-shirt with his iconic silhouette emblazoned across the front, as well as a sequinned tuxedo jacket.
Stella McCartney followed in his footsteps the following year, with Kate Moss as the face of the campaign, then in 2006 Viktor Rolf teamed up with the high street brand.

Which celebrities have designed for H&M?
As well as fashion designers, H&M has collaborated with a few celebrities. Most recently, the high street hero worked with Iris Apfel on a colourful collection of dresses, co-ords, outerwear and incredible accessories. In the past, H&M has also teamed up with celebs like Lady Gaga, David Beckham and Madonna.
Where to shop H&M designer collaborations
When H&M releases their coveted designer collections, they’re available to buy from select stores and online. However they sell out incredibly quickly, so you have to be quick on the mark to ensure you don’t miss out.
If you’re looking for a piece from a previous collection, you might have better luck. You can usually find some of the most loved items on reselling sites like eBay, Vinted, Depop and Vestiaire Collective.
