Just days after Ganni launched their SS21 collection online, the Scandi brand have announced they’ve teamed up with Levi’s to offer a capsule collection of sustainable denim in time for spring.

Following the success of their first collaboration, which offered upcycled denim available to rent, Ganni and Levi’s have joined forces to create a sustainable collection of denim jeans, dresses, jackets and tops.

The duo will offer vintage-look denim to shoppers with a conscience, ditching standard denim (one of the worst offenders for our planet) for an environmentally friendly material instead.

The collection has instead been created from a cottonised hemp fabric, which has a much smaller CO2 impact but looks distinctly similar to denim.

Speaking about the collection, Ganni’s Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup told Vogue, ‘Denim is a big part of the way we dress, it’s a bit like how we wear sneakers; easy and practical.

‘I don’t know if [Scandi girls] are better at wearing denim than anyone else, we just have to feel good in it. Uncomfortable stuff doesn’t look cool and effortless.’

You can expect to see a dark blue denim-look dress and light wash shirt, both with the infamous Ganni collar, along with acid wash wide-legged jeans, shorts, maxi dresses and logo sweatshirts.
