Everything You Need to Know About Copenhagen Fashion Week 2024 As It Happens

Enjoy the shows.

Copenhagen Fashion Week 2024 has officially begun and we’re here to keep you up-to-date on all the biggest shows as they happen, right here. CPHFW kicked off on Monday, 29th January, with Saks Potts, Forza Collective and Nicklas Skovgaard showcasing their AW24 collections to the fashion set on day one of the fashion event – but if you missed it, the shows are still available to watch online.

We’re entering day two and expecting to see a number of exciting AW24 shows today, including those from Aeron, Lovechild 1979 and J.Lindeberg. If you’re attending or happen to be in the area, there are also a number of talks and events taking place across the city – but you can just as easily tune in online. Since the pandemic, Fashion Week has become far more accessible and whether you work in fashion or accounting, you simply need to head to the official website for CPHFW to see all the action.

When you think of Fashion Week, the ‘big four’ come to mind first – but if you haven’t been keeping tabs on CPHFW, it’s time to start. Everyone knows that Scandi style is unrivalled, so it makes sense that Denmark’s capital would be one to watch.

What is Copenhagen Fashion Week?

The Danish Fashion Institute launched Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW) in 2006, putting a spotlight on fashion creatives from the country. It’s fast becoming one of the smaller scale Fashion Week’s to watch, as Scandi brands such as Ganni, Stine Goya, Munthe and Saks Potts take part in the event every season.

There’s a real focus on sustainability at CPHFW, with regular talks on circular fashion and a set of sustainability requirements for all the designers who want to showcase their designs at the event. Every year, CPHFW releases a sustainability report to be transparent in the efforts they’re making to become more environmentally-friendly and the progress they’re making in doing so.

How often does Copenhagen Fashion Week happen?

Just like the other Fashion Weeks’ held across the globe, CPHFW happens twice yearly – in January/February and August. The autumn winter collections are shown in January/February, while the spring summer collections are presented in August. Find out more about how fashion seasons work
