What is ALDI’s Sandalwood and Jasmine Perfume A Dupe For?

The Hotel Collection perfume is one of ALDI’s best scents.

,

If you’ve ever smelt ALDI’s Hotel Collection Sandalwood and Jasmin, you’re probably wondering what it’s a dupe for. The budget supermarket is responsible for some of the best perfume dupes out there (although Next, M&S and Zara have strong contenders), having dropped countless budget-friendly versions of popular designer scents over the years. Just like their affordable food, these scents are a fraction of the cost of high-end brands. I’m talking £5.99 for an 100ml bottle.

So it’s fair to say that ALDI have their finger on the pulse when it comes to perfumes. Other than the Sandalwood and Jasmine perfume, which will be discussed in detail below, their Lacura Ladies’ Floral Eau De Parfum is well known dupe for the iconic Flowerbomb fragrance by Viktor Rolf, while Guardian Eau De Parfum smells like Thierry Mugler’s Alien. If you haven’t tried these yet, they’re definitely a must.

What is ALDI’s Sandalwood and Jasmine Eau de Parfum a dupe for?

ALDI’s Hotel Collection Sandalwood and Jasmine Eau de Parfum is a well-known dupe for Tom Ford’s Santal Blush Eau de Parfum. The budget scent was released last year and originally cost an unbelievably cheap £5.99 for 100ml, while the original is an eye-watering £220 for 50ml. The perfumes smell very similar, with matching notes of jasmine, cedar, sandalwood and musk.

ALDI’s Hotel Collection introduced the Sandalwood Jasmine Eau de Parfum in 2023 as a budget-friendly dupe for Tom Ford’s Santal Blush and unsurprisingly, it flew off the shelves. This fragrance elegantly combines musk and agarwood for a rich scent experience, hence why the two have been compared. While it’s no longer available at ALDI directly, you can find it on reselling sites like eBay. As you’d expect, it costs more than ALDI’s prices but still super affordable when you compare it to Tom Ford’s eye-watering prices.

Is ALDI’s Sandalwood and Jasmine perfume worth it?

In a word, yes. It’s hard to go wrong with such a cheap price, but genuinely, this perfume is the real deal. While it might not look as glamorous on your vanity, the scent is gorgeous. Sometimes ALDI re-releases some of their bestselling scents in time for big events like Father’s Day or Christmas, so it’s worth keeping your eye on the beauty section of your local store too.

Are ALDI perfume dupes any good?

100%. ALDI has so many great beauty dupes right now, including their Lacura Lip Kits that are super similar to the iconic Kylie lip kits. Lacura’s Luminous Filter Foundation has been compared to Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter and there are a huge number of designer perfume dupes at ALDI too. From personal experience, I can tell you that ALDI has some of the best dupes out there. They’re accessible, super cheap and high quality too (just like the food!).

Is ALDI Lacura good?

If you’re hunting for beauty bargains that don’t skimp on quality, ALDI’s Lacura brand is your go-to. Who doesn’t love skincare and beauty goodies that offer the quality of luxury labels on a budget? As well as perfume, the brand stocks a great Hot Cloth Cleanser and Miracle Cream that are well worth trying out.
