If Venetia Catton’s outfits in Saltburn have tickled your fancy, you’re probably wondering how you can get the character’s indie sleaze look in 2024. I was a huge fan of the look back in 2006 and I’m still a fan today, so below you’ll find a few outfit ideas to copy the character’s style.

Saltburn has been all over my TikTok since it hit cinemas last November and Prime a few weeks later, with countless users sharing their reactions to some of the most shocking scenes from the film. Director Emerald Fennell, who also directed Promising Young Woman, left me speechless more than once (the grave scene, anyone?), but there will be no spoilers here.

What I will tell you is that the film is set in the noughties, when indie music reigned supreme and disco pants were all the rage. The film’s soundtrack includes gems like Bloc Party’s This Modern Love and MGMT’s Time to Pretend, which instantly take you back. The fashion also has a nostalgic charm, particularly when it comes to Venetia, played by Alison Oliver.

Venetia is the sister of Felix (Jacob Elordi), who lives at Saltburn with her parents. She takes a shining to Oliver (Barry Keoghan) and can often be seen lounging around the manor in very glamorous outfits, including sequin disco pants, star-print trousers and a tiny white bikini.
