How to redeem an ASOS gift card
If you purchased the gift card yourself, you’re going to receive it through your email within 24 hours after placing your order. If it was sent to you, you also have to just check your email for it. Make sure to check your spam/junk folder, too, just in case!
Gift cards purchased in the UK are good for up to two years from the date of receipt. You can just keep it in your email if you don’t want to purchase anything right away, but ASOS advises that you register it with your account so it gets credited to your account and it is ready to be spent.
How to activate your gift card
You just have to go to ‘My Account‘ on the ASOS website, click on the ‘Gift Cards and Vouchers’ tab, then click on the ‘Add Gift Card/Voucher.’ After, select ‘Gift Card’ and key in the 16-digit code and 4-digit PIN found at the back of the card. Hit save and you’re good to go.
If you want to use the gift card you saved in your account, it will automatically appear under the Promo/Student Code or Gift Card Voucher tab when you checkout and you just need to remember to click on it before you finish ordering.
Didn’t save your gift card on your account? No worries. You just have to click on the “Promo’Gift Card Vouchers’ tab when you check out and key in your gift card code and check out as usual.
Just take note that you can use the gift card only in the country it was purchased from.
How to check ASOS Gift Card balance
Registering your gift card can help you keep track of how much you still have as credit.
If you buy something that doesn’t use up the entire amount of your gift card value, the remaining amount will still be credited to your account and will be ready for use on your next order.
Why can’t I redeem my ASOS Gift Card?
If you’re unable to redeem your ASOS Gift Card, it may be because the card has not been activated during the purchase.
Activation is required to use the gift card at checkout or link it to your account. On the back of the gift card, you’ll find easy-to-follow instructions on how to redeem and utilize the card.
How to tell if the ASOS Gift Card is valid?
Back in 2021, there was a scam running around on TikTok, where you need to answer an online survey and win a £750 ASOS Gift Card. So be cautious of unsolicited gift card offers like this. To check an ASOS Gift Card if it is authentic or not, here are ways to tell:
Always verify who sent the gift card if it’s via email. If you have received it from third-party sellers or someone you’re not sure of, be cautious and do some checking of your own. But if it’s from a verified ASOS email, it’s legit.
If you’ve received a physical gift card, you can check its authenticity through its security features. Make sure the card has a hologram and a unique serial number, and if the PIN code hasn’t been scratched off.
Another thing is to try registering the card online. This applies to egift cards and physical cards. Once you key in the 16-digit code and 4-digit PIN and show that it registered successfully, then it’s real.
