The Bandaged Scars of Salvatore Scarpitta

Milan | November 2017

Feeling constrained by the space within the canvas, Salvatore Scarpitta’s solution was to rip it, decompose it and wrap it in bandages, making the canvas itself the main character of the work. Gravity is a highlight of our Arte Moderna e Contemporanea auction in Milan on 29 – 30 November 2017.
