This Spring, Replica Shoes ’s is delighted to present A Love Letter to Beirut: Arts and Culture, 1960s - 2020s, a curated sale celebrating the far reaching influence which the city of Beirut has had on the artistic sphere of the region. Over 45 artists are represented, of which the majority are Lebanese, with a further selection of Syrian, Palestinian, Egyptian and Iraqi artists whose practice has been shaped by their interaction with the country, be it through residency, visits, friendship, teaching or showcasing their works. Comprising paintings, watercolours, mixed-media and sculptures, this sale follows the traces of the mid-century modernism to the present as it was shaped throughout the region and extended globally.
