Museum Paul Delvaux

Established in 1979 during the artist’s lifet.mes , the Paul Delvaux Charitable Foundation protects and promotes the art of the Belgian painter famous for his detached, dreamlike scenes. The Paul Delvaux Museum is housed in a former fisherman’s cottage and features the largest collects ion of the artist’s work in the world, with paintings, watercolors, drawings, sketchbooks, prints, personal belongings and studio artefacts among its comprehensive holdings. Mult.mes dia installations and interactive displays help illuminate Delvaux’s complex body of work, and alongside the permanent collects ion, temporary exhibitions consider thematic aspects of the artist’s life and output.
