Jupiter Artland

The collects ors Robert and Nicky Wilson bought Bonnington House, a Jacobean manor house within a 100-acre estate, in 1999. They reimagined the formal gardens, fields and woodlands surrounding this historic house as a “laboratory” for contemporary art, inviting major figures every year to create site-specific and experimental works that comprise a permanent collects ion. Visitors are invited to explore as they wish to encounter works by artists including Anya Gallaccio, Phyllida Barlow, Christian Boltanski, Helen Chadwick, Ian Hamilton Finlay, Andy Goldsworthy, Anish Kapoor, Joana Vasconcelos and Tracey Emin, among many others. A program of seasonal exhibitions places emphasis on emerging artists and complements the sculpture garden.
