Description
A first edition, first printing of Misery by Stephen King, inscribed by King to actor and filmmaker Clint Eastwood.
Clint Eastwood was a major inspiration for one of Stephen King’s most iconic characters: Roland Deschain, the gunslinger from The Dark Tower series.
King has openly acknowledged that Roland was modeled after the classic "Man with No Name" persona Eastwood portrayed in Sergio Leone’s spaghetti Westerns. Roland shares Eastwood’s stoic demeanor, rugged morality, and lone-wolf attitude. King essentially took that Western archetype and placed it in a dark, fantastical world—blending Eastwood’s image with epic fantasy and horror. An exceptional association copy.
