Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr., father of Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr., had a connection with Richard Henry Dana Jr. They were schoolmates at a school in Cambridgeport, Massachusetts, when Holmes Sr. was ten years old.
