METAL PLAQUE
28 ½ in by 12 ½ in
Featured in this lot is a signed and framed piece of the Chicago Stadium floor, presented alongside an image of Scottie Pippen from 1991 and the Chicago Bulls 1990–91 team photograph. According to the accompanying plaque, this floor piece was gifted to Pippen in 2011 to mark the 20th anniversary of the Bulls’ first NBA championship.
After several playoff disappointments, Chicago broke through by defeating the Los Angeles Lakers in five games, ending the championship run led by Magic Johnson. The series signaled a shift in the NBA, as Chicago emerged as the league’s next dominant force.
Pippen’s rise was central to that breakthrough. During the Finals, he averaged 20.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 2.4 steals, and 1 block per game. In Game 5, he delivered a standout performance with 32 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists, and 5 steals, reinforcing that the Bulls’ success rested on more than one star. This floor piece marks the beginning of a championship era and preserves a tangible link to the moment Chicago’s dynasty began.
This item comes directly from the Collection of Scottie Pippen.
