A stone figure of Maravijaya Buddha, Eastern India, Pala period, 10th / 11th century

The Buddha is finely carved with hands in bhumisparsa mudra, seated in vajraparyankasana on a lion throne with earth goddess Prithvi beneath, flanked by two standing bodhisattvas, a seated Buddha above and fragmentary leaves of the bodhi tree.
