Produced prior to Sept 22nd 1917 by distillery No. 24, H.S. Barton, Frankfort, KY, original sealed case slightly worn, liquid level aligned with top of front label 

This bottle, and especially its packaging, is a rare historical testament to the changes imposed by Prohibition. This bottle comes in a tamper-proof box with an extensive note on the back to druggists and consumers, explaining how to open it and how to look for evidence of tampering. Many of the Whiskies from this particular bottling were around 17 years of age and bottled around the mid 1930's.
