Developed for professional saturation diving and extended deep-sea missions, the Rolex Sea-Dweller incorporates a range of technical innovations designed to ensure exceptional water resistance, structural integrity, optimal legibility, and wearer comfort in all conditions.
Its helium escape valve is automatically activated when internal case pressure exceeds external pressure, allowing trapped helium atoms to safely exit the case and thereby preserving the watch’s integrity during decompression and ascent.
Reference 116660 is further equipped with a Triplock winding crown, reinforcing the impermeability of its substantial 44mm Oyster case. Crafted from Rolex’s proprietary Oystersteel, the case offers outstanding resistance to corrosion while maintaining a distinctive radiance, even under the most demanding conditions.
These remarkable engineering achievements are complemented by the quality of the present example, which is offered in unworn condition and accompanied by its full original set.
