A group of related double-gourd-shaped earrings were excavated in Jiangsu province, all of which were included in the exhibition Jinse jiangnan. Jiangsu gudai jinqi / Golden Jiangnan. Ancient Gold Ware of Jiangsu, Nanjing Museum, Nanjing, 2008. See, for example, a pair of undecorated earrings, unearthed in 1977 from a Ming dynasty tomb in Qingyang, Jiangyin city, now in the Jiangyin Museum, p. 111 (bottom); and two pairs, decorated with vertical ribs, discovered in Daqiangmen, Wuxi city, now housed in the Nanjing Museum, attributed to the Ming dynasty, pp 137 (bottom) and 139 (bottom).
