comprising 10 trays and totaling 600 fixed pieces, each numbered, arranged in one case, together with a handwritten Italian inventory of the intaglios, inscribed with the maker's name and address, and a later English translation, the case top cover with ink inscription 'W. Beckwith'


Overall 26cm high, 21cm wide, 33cm deep; 10 1/4in., 8 1/4in., 13in.

According to the inscription, most probably belonged to Mr. William Beckwith (1795-1871) of Seacox Heath, in Sussex;
