Single barrel selection for Binny's Beverage Depot, distilled on June 10th 1985, bottled in December 2003 by Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery, Frankfort, Kentucky, hand-selected exclusively for Binny's Beverage Depot, front label very slightly wrinkled and lightly soiled, top of front label very slightly nicked, top left hand corner of label very slightly damaged

This bottle has been signed by Julian Van Winkle III specially for The Great American Whiskey Collection

Distilled at Stitzel-Weller in 1985, this iconic Van Winkle Special Reserve 18 Year Old Single Cask was hand-selected exclusively for Binny's, another of the great liquor stores in Chicago at the time (along with Sam's). What's especially rare is that the whiskey was bottled at full cask strength, which was very unusual even for Van Winkle, with the Binny's boasting the second highest proof for a Van Winkle bottle ever at a whopping 121.6 Proof. There were thought to have been less than 100 bottles yielded from the single barrel, and again, as with so many of these legendary Bourbon and Rye whiskies, the majority would have been consumed in the immediate years following release, leaving very few left in a handful of collections. This is the first time that the 'Binny's' has appeared at Replica Shoes 's.
