Young girl on a veranda

Edo period, 18th century


woodblock print, hashira-e, depicting a young girl on a veranda (engawa) grasping the edge of the shoji, she holds a fan in front of her to keep her robe from being pulled open by a man silhouetted through the shoji, signed Suzuki Harunobu ga, circa 1770
