bronze, dark brown patina; on a marble base

Bronze: 26.5cm., 10 ½ in.; base: 11cm, 4⅝in.

Acquired in the London art market, in the 1970s.

The attributes once held in the hands of this allegorical figure may have been the sword and scales, for the virtue of Justice, or the two vessels from which Temperance pours water.
