index number 610; the upper tier stamped F. Linke with removable bevelled glass and gilt bronze tray supported by four gilt bronze putti siren caryatides on a serpentine top raised on four cabriole legs; with acanthus bronze angle mounts and acanthus 'crab' mounts on the central frieze

A more elaborate version of this model, described as a une table à thé - plateau glace mobile with a gilt-bronzed mounted stretcher, for which two watercolour designs survive, was exhibited by Linke at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris (illustrated in Christopher Payne, François Linke (1855-1946). The Belle Epoque of French Furniture, Woodbridge 2003, p.117 plates 131-32 and p.145 plate 152).
