Reference 2597 features a travel time function, allowing the owner to easily adjust the time when moving between different time zones. The reference was first introduced in 1958 and was discontinued in 1977. Two versions were available; the first with two hands and the second, like the present watch, with the desirable three hands. The cases were made by Antoine Gerlach and the dials by Stern Frères. 48 gold examples had been identified back to the market and only 6 are known in pink gold.

Under closer inspection, the present example has two very strong hallmarks underneath the lugs and a crisp 18k stamp on the case back. The dial condition is very good with nicely raised hard enamel signature and a very crisp pearl-engraved outer minute dot.
