The Datograph Up/Down 'Lumen' is the fourth model in A. Lange & Söhne’s Lumen series, which debuted in 2010. Designed for exceptional legibility in the dark, the watch features luminous coatings on the three central hands and the arrow-shaped power reserve indicator. The blued steel seconds and minute-counter hands sweep across phosphorescent subsidiary dials, while the outsize date displays emit a vibrant green glow. For the first time in a Lange timepiece, the inner dial ring with the minute scale is also luminous—enhancing functionality and visual intrigue in low-light conditions.
This flyback chronograph, equipped with a precisely jumping minute counter and power reserve display, was produced in a limited edition of 200 pieces in platinum. The present example is offered in excellent condition, with factory stickers still intact.
