A wakizashi koshirae [sword mount]
Edo period, 19th century
decorated in lacquered ray skin, iron soten tsuba inlaid in gilt depicting warriors, raised russet iron rim, associated shakudo nanako fuchi-kashira with further scenes of samurai, the gold on shakudo-nanako kozuka depicting Yoshitsune at the battle of Yashima, the blade signed
75 cm. long, 29½ in.
