of traditional form with curved tip, the body repoussé with a bogatyr astride a galloping horse in a dense forest, one arm strapped to his shield, the other tied to a mace, within a raised oval cartouche centred with a cabochon garnet, issuing a stylised fruiting tree branch at either side hosting a family of forest owls, engraved with presentation inscription in English 'To the young son of / Mr and Mrs Thacher / From the staff of the Am. Com &nd Co. Ltd. / Good Luck Boy!' , the handle set with a faceted quartz, dated 10/2/23, gilt interior, struck with maker's mark, 84 standard
