cylindrical, each covered in translucent pink enamel over engine turning, the ends banded with rose-cut diamonds, struck with workmaster's initials, 56 standard, scratched inventory number 60763

The present lot was a joint purchase by Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna and her husband Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich on 8 December 1898 for 100 roubles (Ledger courtesy of Tatiana Fabergé).
