The present four-armed manifestation of Avalokiteshvara holds his primary hands before his chest in the gesture of salutation (anjali mudra), and a rosary (mala) and lotus flower (padma) in his raised left and right hands. His head framed by a halo of pearls with a flaming border, the bodhisattva sits serenely in the diamond posture (vajraparyankasana) on a polychrome lotus pedestal, wearing regal jewellery, a lower garment with finely painted textile patterns, and a long scarf draped over the shoulders and around the arms.

四臂觀世音菩薩形像，主手合掌於胸前施「合掌印」，上舉之左手持念珠，右手持蓮花。頭部背光珠飾環繞，外緣火焰紋環繞。菩薩身佩王者飾，著繪飾細膩的織紋下裙，長巾繞肩披臂，結「金剛跏趺坐」安坐於彩繪蓮座之上。其項鍊式樣、寶飾圖樣與蓮瓣設計，可參見一件十五世紀彩繪木雕四臂觀音，現藏於洛杉磯郡藝術博物館，著錄於 Pratapaditya Pal，《Art of Nepal》，LACMA，1985年，頁36。
