with three circular drawings, one depicting Maria Amalia of Naples praying, one depicting the Palazzo dei Normanni, and the third depicting a cityscape, dedicated to Louis Philippe d'Orléans, with a handle in the shape of intertwined snakes, with a handwritten paper label to the back transcribing the inscriptions below the drawings:

Médaillon de droite: “Ici est commencé mon bonheur le 25 9bre 1809” (date du mariage de la Reine Marie Amélie).

Médaillon de gauche: “Ici s’est évanoui mon bonheur le 22 mai 1810” (date du départ du Duc d’Orléans pour l’Espagne).

Médaillon du haut: La Duchesse d’Orléans en prière. “ Mon Dieu préservez-le de tous les dangers et réunissez-nous”
