First edition, 8vo (222 x 146mm.), folding frontispiece ("panorama of the Great Atlas from the city of Marocco"), title-page vignette, 8 further plates (including folding "geological section of the Plain of Marocco and the Great Atlas" and "New Map of South Marocco by John Ball"), plus numerous in-text illustrations, contemporary green pictorial cloth gilt, design of the Tower of Koutoubia in gilt to upper cover, black endpapers, hinges and joints splitting (especially upper joint), slight damp-staining to upper cover
