A white glass carved 'Romance of the Western Chamber' plaque, Qing dynasty, 18th century 清十八世紀 白料雕《西廂記》詩文珮

The reserve is carved with verses from the Romance of the Western Chamber and signed by Zhiting, which may be translated as:

The breeze shakes the shadow of the locust tree,

And casts a dark veil over the crow's mystery.

A young man, his hat adorned with black,

He stands by the lake and mountain's embrace,

While you hide hehind the fence, with a quiet grace.

是槐影風搖昏鴉，是玉人帽側烏紗，你且潛身在檻邊，他今背立在湖山下。署款芝亭。
