A closely related pair of Qianlong blue and white bowls of this design was sold in these rooms, 15th November 1988, lot 187. Compare also a slightly larger bowl from the Qianlong period (15.5 cm), also sold in these rooms, 27th October 1992, lot 74.

Although the auspicious motifs were inspired by Ming dynasty iconography, bowls of this pattern were probably first produced in the preceding reign. Yongzheng-marked examples have been included in Exhibition of Chinese Blue and White Porcelain, Hong Kong Oriental Ceramics Society, City Museum and Art Gallery, Hong Kong, 1975, cat. no. 107; and Porcelain of the High Qing: The Brian S. McElney Collection, Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, Victoria, British Columbia, 1983, cat. no. 19. 

參考一對尺寸相近之乾隆年製盌，1988年11月15日在香港蘇富比拍出，編號187。另有一例，盌徑較長（15.5 公分），售於香港蘇富比1992年10月27日，編號74。

此類三多盌上之折枝蟠桃、石榴、瓜果紋，雖受明朝雅飾啓思，與其一胍相承，但此形飾搭配則雍正朝才始有見之。相類雍正年製三多盌，可參考展覽所見數例，如《中國青花瓷器》，香港東方陶瓷學會，香港大會堂／香港博物美術館，1975年，編號107，或《Porcelain of the High Qing: The Brian S. McElney Collection》，大維多利亞區美術館，加拿大卑詩省大維多利亞，1983年，編號19。
