Description
Trigère Orange Wool Cape, 1970s
Pauline Trigère was a cape specialist, known to drape fabric over a fit model and without a guide or drawing, cut arm openings with perfect precision. This orange, floor-length, wool cape is self-closing and crepe-lined. It features welted seams at the arm openings, side slits, collar, and edges. This piece is affixed with an International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union label which represents support for fair and safe labor practices and workers' rights in the garment industry.
Generously donated by Amy Fine Collins.
