8vo (164 x 100 mm). Italic type, 30 lines plus headline. collation: a-y8: 176 leaves. Woodcut Aldine device on title-page and final verso. (Wormholes to upper margin.)
binding: Venetian binding of brown morocco (170 x 110 mm), attributed to the Mendoza Binder, framed by two gilt fillets and containing border of solid leafy tools, with central undulating lozenge enclosing author's name ("CLA / VDIA / NVS"), spine with three raised bands and four semi-raised bands, first and fourth compartments gilt-lettered, other with repeat rope and tool pattern tooled in blind, edges gilt and gauffered to knotwork pattern. In clamshell case. (Extremities a trifle rubbed, lower joint restored.)
