A further edition of Alessandro Braccesi's translation of Appian's Roman Wars.


3 parts in one volume, 8vo (153 x 92 mm). Italic type, 30 lines plus headline. collation: a-z8 A-I8 k2 aa-yy8 aaa-iii4 kkk6: 476 leaves. Woodcut Aldine device on each title-page and final verso of each part. (bbb4 repaired at foot.)


binding: Seventeenth-century red morocco by Padeloup le Jeune (155 x 100 mm), with his ticket at foot of title-page, single gilt fillet border on covers, spine gilt in compartments, edges marbled and gilt. (Joints and corners repaired, later marbled pastedowns.)
