A collects ion of 24 separately-published papers on natural history, in French. Amsterdam: Pierre Meijer, 1767-1774


24 parts in one volume, 4to (248 x 190mm.), each part with its own title-page and hand-coloured engraved plate, contemporary sprinkled calf


Arnout Vosmaer was ran the menagerie of William V, Prince of Orange, at Voorburg. Wood notes a total of 33 parts, in Dutch all published separately and a French edition printed in 1804. The current examples are in French, published between 1767–and 1774. The specimens are from the near and far East and the Americas (including a bison). The plates are by Simon Fokke, after, among others, Aert Schouman.
