Inverted pear form with waved rim, pedestal foot with gadroon border, rococo double-scroll handle, marked twice center of base J.A in rectangle.

This maker's mark struck three times appears on a creamer with similar asymmetrical handle in Garvan and Barquist, American Silver in the Philadelphia Museum of Art, cat. 27, p. 76. This mark has traditionally been attributed to John Avery of Preston, CT.
