of shaped oval form, set with panels of lapis lazuli within gold and white enamel borders, alternating with bands formed of brightly-enamelled caryatids, further enamelled scrolling foliage and masks, framed by an engraved and scalloped border, the enamelled openwork handles also centred with masks, maker's mark, Austrian control mark for 1886-1921, post-1893 French import weevil mark,
