Rindon Johnson is an American artist and writer, with a multidisciplinary practice that blurs the line between photography, sculpture, and performance utilizing various materials including leather, light, Vaseline, video, photography and wood to explore aspects of lived space, memory, and history. His work shows how supposed virtual and actual realities are integrated, and how art has historically been instrumental in sustaining simultaneous other realities. Johnson is a published poet and co-runs the online poetry website, Imperial Matters, with Sophia Le Fraga.
Exhibitions of Johnson’s work have been held at Sculpture Center, New York; Chisenhale Gallery, London; and Arcadia Missa, London among others.
