Nike

These 2003 Nike Dunks were designed by the American artist Eric Haze. Haze is one of the most prominent graffiti artists to ascend during the 1980s, and has exhibited alongside icons like Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring. His art, made famous on the walls and subways of New York, is characterized by bold, unique lettering and contrasting black and white paints. 

The Haze Dunks were the first to be treated with Nike’s printed ‘overspray’ technique in the artist’s signature style. Haze applied white over black on a leather base, giving the shoe a gray cloudy look, similar to the effect achieved by graffiti artists using spray paint. Released in limited quantities, the shoes feature a custom tongue label with Haze’s graffiti logo and come in a special Friends & Family edition box featuring Haze’s signature art.
