A hardstone tazza with jewelled gilt-metal mounts, late 19th century
the shallow bowl of banded agate supported by a parcel-gilt metal figure of a knight in armour holding a mace, standing on a lobed spreading foot chased with scrollwork and decorated with malachite, turquoise, lapis lazuli and garnet cabochons in scalloped mounts, apparently unmarked
height 7¾in.; 19,7cm.

Tazza en agate et pierres dures montée en vermeil, XIXe siècle
la base reposant sur huit pieds boules et avec huit côtés courbes, chacun ciselé, gravé, repoussé de rinceaux et serti de pierres dures, le pied en forme de chevalier en armure, apparemment non poinçonnée
