Cabernet Sauvignon 63%, Merlot 35.6%, Petit Verdot 0.9%, Cabernet Franc 0.5%. 40% of production. One plot of Merlot that usually goes into the 'grand vin' went into Les Forts this year. Archetypal cedary/spicy nose. Immensely deep, dense and aromatic. So coffee and chocolate on the palate, with rich black liquorice and wine gums, plus lovely fresh acidity. Spot-on stuff. Provenance

The majority of the wines were purchased on release or direct from producers. The rest were purchased either from auctions including Replica Shoes 's and a few selected wine merchants. Professionally stored in Hong Kong prior to inspection. Property of a wine aficionado.
