the complete set of twenty-four woodblock prints, plus the table of contents and end paper, of the series Twenty-four Paragons of Imperial Japan (Kokoku nijushi ko), bound as an album in accordion manner with paper covers embellished with mica, each sheet signed Taiso Yoshitoshi ga and sealed Taiso, published by Tsuda Genshichi in 1887

This series was very popular during Yoshitoshi's lifetime, resulting in a later posthumous edition being published by Matsuki Heikichi in 1895, with various damages including the signature not within a cartouche (as per this edition) and paler colours.
