At 17 years old from magnum. A wonderful damp earth, forest floor nose. A "classic" Grand Cru Côte de Nuits bouquet - teaching wine! Very seductive. Great freshness on the palate but also presenting itself as ready to drink. Mineral, even irony notes on the finish, which one sometimes finds in RSV of this epoch. Heathery tastes, even peaty. And a touch of liquorice together with the damp leaves flavours. Utterly drinkable now. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
