In the Chinese Ceramics from the Meiyintang Collection, the author noted that the cup was probably later enamelled in Holland soon after the cup was made. A similar cup in the British Museum is illustrated in Soame Jenyns, Later Chinese Porcelain, London, 1951, pl. CXIX, fig. 1B.
