housing a gilt wood figure holding a tablet in his hands, the altar elaborately carved overall in gilt and red lacquer, detailed with dragons coiling around the four post supporting the roof and bamboo in openwork, the back inscribed with the two characters zhai jie [fasting], the lower section with a gathering of the three star gods drinking wine
